HERBS

Herbs should be grown in full sun and well drained soil whenever possible.     

 

Fresh herbs are easy to grow in full sun, and add flavor to your cooking and fragrance to your garden! They are great container plants,and growing just a few allows you to harvest fresh leaves all season. All are hardy perennials grown in 4" pots.

Garlic Chives
Garlic chives will grow about 12" tall, and have flatter stems than regular chives, with a mild garlic onion flavor.

French Sorrel
French Sorrel will grow in a clump about 18" tall. The leaves have a tart lemony flavor, use sparingly in soups and sauces.

Lemon Thyme  
Low growing perennial with pink flowers, similar to english thyme but with a pronounced lemony flavor.

Lovage
Tall perennial to 3' with a celery like flavor.
